District of Columbia Urges Supreme Court to Hear Case
When the District of Columbia Circuit Court struck down a longstanding District of Columbia handgun control law, the lives of the citizens in the District were immediately put at greater risk.
The Circuit Court has committed a number of errors in their ruling, including disregarding previous Supreme Court precedent as outlined in United States v. Miller, a case decided in 1939. Petitioner for the District of Columbia, Zachary Wallack, states “Any time a rogue lower court goes directly against the rulings of the highest court in the land, the Supreme Court must step in and right the wrong in the case of District of Columbia v. Parker”.
