Nathan Buniva Counsel of Record State of Louisiana

On behalf of the sovereign State of Louisiana and the Supreme Court of Louisiana, whose carefully considered decision has been challenged by the condemned convicted murder, Allen Snyder, the Petitioner in the appeal to the United States Supreme Court, I want to apologize for this inconvenience as I feel this a gross misuse of your time, and an inappropriate tactic employed by Mr. Snyder and his counsel to gain public sympathy, when he has been unable to overturn the fair and just decisions of our Courts and jury.

Lotfi Sariahmed, Representing Petitioner in the case of Snyder v. Louisiana, presented the imperative nature of the case in a press conference on Thursday.

”Allen Snyder was a victim of racism through the selection of his jury and now it could cost him his life,” Sariahmed said.

Snyder is being denied his Constitutional rights of a fair trial, Sariahmed said.

Sariahmed also called the conditions under which Snyder was tried “absurd.”

He urged the Supreme Court to take on the case and correct the decision of the lower court.

”There is no doubt that our Supreme Court consistently deals with cases that are vital to this nation’s future,” Sariahmed said.  “But this is one case that will directly determine how future cases are tried in the lower courts for years to come.”

”You all have the opportunity to help right an egregious wrong,” Sariahmed said.

Sariahmed said he is prepared to elaborate on the details of the case should the Supreme Court decide to hear it.
