Thumbs Up Thumbs Down Part 1
October 5, 2007
By: Eric DeWitt
This is part 1 of a 5 part series in which I will examine two cases in one article. Based on press releases by the petitioners and respondents, as well as the writs of certiorari, and any other pertinent information relating to the cases, I will either give the case my personal thumbs up or thumbs down. Thumbs up indicates that I feel the case should be heard. Thumbs down indicates that I feel the case should not be heard by the Supreme Court. Bear in mind this is merely my personal opinion, and nothing that I say necessarily reflects the opinions of the Court. The two cases that I will examine in this article are the District of Columbia v. Heller as well as Crawford v. Marion County Election Board.
